"Behold, He Shall Come...."

As today's liturgy highlights "the voice of him that crieth in the wilderness" -- and, in general, the prophecy of the Redeemer -- there seems no better time to pull out what, by popular demand, has become the biggest gun in Advent's time-honored canon of sacred music.

Of course, it traditionally packs churches and performance halls in this time of year... but for those who could use the interlude from the comfort of the desk, while hanging decorations, whatever works, here below for your Sunday afternoon is the full Handel's Messiah from New York's Trinity Church -- site of the Oratorio's New World premiere in 1770.

So, just sit back, relax and enjoy... and buona domenica to one and all.
